Hibiscus Initiatives (Hibiscus) are a passionate, women-centered organisation, delivered high quality services for those affected by the criminal justice system for over 30 years. As an organisation, they have a distinct expertise in working with marginalised foreign national (FN); black, minority ethnic and refugee (BMER) women in prison and the community, and with women and men in detention, and make an impact through four specialist service areas: prisons, international resettlement, community resettlement and human trafficking. They are now recruiting for a Head of a Community and Prison Services to oversee a portfolio of frontline services providing specialist support to women affected by the criminal justice system.
As Head of Community and Prison Services, you will lead on the operational management, development and improvement of Hibiscus’s specialist Community and Prison frontline services, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Department. You will oversee a team of dispersed staff (including interns and volunteers) who provide frontline advice, advocacy and other support to Hibiscus’s clients, based both in prisons and in the community. You support staff to ensure that services are run effectively, and will actively contribute to the development and implementation of wider organisational strategy. You will work closely and collaboratively with your senior peers to ensure that relationships with key stakeholders, including funders and multi-agency partners, are managed effectively and appropriately, and will facilitate cross-Department research opportunities to ensure consistent service delivery improvement.
To apply for this role, you will have extensive experience of managing specialist frontline services for those with a range of complex needs. You will have significant experience of working for an organisation working to improve outcomes for vulnerable women with multiple disadvantages, and will ideally have experience of working within a criminal justice setting. You will have experience of implementing strategy and applying this to working environments, and will have significant experience of developing a variety of partnerships. Additional language skills would also be advantageous. Overall you will be a strong, ambassadorial leader, passionate about ensuring high quality services for a variety of women with complex needs.

Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 pro rata (depending on experience
