Trip to Nigeria

Trip to Nigeria

Our CEO Adrienne, Head of International Resettlement and Services to Those Detained Donna and Project Worker Seika travelled to Nigeria between 26th February and 10th March this year. The aim of this visit was inform our work with Nigerian clients and help us deliver our services more effectively and improve on the level of support we can offer to clients returning.

Over the two weeks we visited Lagos, Abuja and Benin City and met with a range of local, national and international organisations doing inspiring work around supporting returnees and vulnerable people, combatting trafficking, and working with all aspects of migration. Some of these organisations included: N.A.M.E Foundation, IDIA Renaissance, Society for the Empowerment of Young Persons, Web of Hearts Foundation and IOM (International Organisation for Migration) Nigeria.

We also had a chance to reconnect with former clients to see how they were managing their lives after returning to Nigeria.
