Hibiscus Initiatives (Hibiscus) is a leading, women-centred organisation, delivering high impact advocacy and advice services to Black, minoritised, and migrant women at the intersection of the criminal justice and immigration systems. We are looking for a passionate, empathetic and resilient individual to join the Gatwick PDA team. In this role you will be working directly with families, offering emotional and practical support during what is a significant time in their journey through the UK immigration system. You will work with family members to assess and prioritise their support needs, helping them to plan towards resettling overseas. The role will include providing emotional support and trauma-informed techniques that help improve wellbeing. You will be working collaboratively with agencies to care for and support the family and will be liaising with organisations internationally to find and secure invaluable support to meet the families’ needs.
As an organisation working on racial and gender justice and migrants’ rights, Hibiscus is particularly keen to attract talent from Black and minoritised communities and those with lived experience of immigration restrictions, the criminal justice systems, or gender-based violence.
