Our work

Hibiscus Initiatives is a leading organisation supporting foreign nationals and black, minority ethnic and refugee (BMER) individuals involved in the criminal justice system in the UK. Our services reduce isolation and hardship, facilitate successful rehabilitation, and minimise the damaging effects of depression and mental illness caused by incarceration. Whilst retaining our primary focus on women, in we have extended our reach and adapted our model to work with some men in custody at HMP Peterborough and in Heathrow IRCs.
