The purpose of this role is to offer advocacy, support, family liaison, advice and guidance to Foreign national, BMER and migrants, who have been affected by the Criminal Justice System (CJS). You role will include making assessments and referrals and preparing clients for in country or overseas resettlement.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about the rights of individuals within the prison system and who might be faced with having to leave the UK; has the ability to co-ordinate and direct key service delivery initiatives and projects within set timescales; has the knowledge and experience of working in either a prison or immigration removal centre or has supported refugees/undocumented migrants.
The post is part time 21 hours per week
Salary: £22,000 to £24,000 (pro rata)
Duration: One year, renewable subject to funding
The location of post: Hibiscus Head Office and HM Prisons. There is a requirement to travel.
